Product description
Screw conveyors are widely used in various fields such as
agriculture, mining, construction, and chemical engineering as
material conveying machinery. Their core structure consists of
screw blades, a drive shaft, a casing, and a drive unit, capable of
conveying bulk materials horizontally, inclinedly, or vertically.
They feature a simple structure, small footprint, stable conveying
efficiency, and adaptability to various material properties. They
are easy to connect with other equipment to form production lines,
but their conveying effect is limited for materials with high
viscosity or prone to caking.
Working principle
The working principle of a screw conveyor is that the driving
device drives the transmission shaft and the spiral blades fixed on
the shaft to rotate. By utilizing the friction and thrust between
the spiral blades and the materials, the bulk materials move
forward along the inner wall of the casing as the spiral blades
rotate, thus achieving continuous conveying of materials in
horizontal, inclined or vertical directions. During this process,
the rotation of the spiral blades provides an axial driving force
for the materials, enabling them to overcome their own gravity and
the friction with the casing and complete the conveying along the
set path.
Product characteristics
1. Simple and compact structure
It mainly consists of spiral blades, transmission shaft, casing and
driving device. It has few components and occupies a small area,
making it easy to install in narrow spaces or connect with other
equipment (such as crushers, silos).
2. Wide conveying range
It can convey various bulk materials, including powdery (such as
flour, cement), granular (such as grains, sand and stones), and
small blocky (such as coal blocks, ores), and can achieve
horizontal, inclined (with an inclination angle usually ≤ 20°) or
vertical conveyance.
3. Conveying process is sealed
The casing can be designed as a fully enclosed structure to reduce
dust and leakage of materials, especially suitable for conveying
materials that are prone to pollute the environment (such as dust)
or are affected by the environment (such as getting damp and
deteriorating).
4. Easy operation and maintenance
It operates stably with a low failure rate. Daily maintenance
mainly involves lubricating the bearings and checking the wear of
the blades. The maintenance cost is low. It can also adjust the
conveying volume by controlling the motor speed, which is highly
flexible.
5. Can achieve additional functions such as mixing and stirring
When the spiral blades rotate, they can perform light mixing or
stirring of the materials, suitable for scenarios that require
simple pre-treatment (such as feed mixing, material
humidification).
