Working principle

The working principle of the double-cone mixer is based on the combination of mechanical motion and material properties. When the equipment is in operation, the unique double-conical cylinder continuously rotates around a horizontal axis. Relying on the friction between the inner wall of the cylinder and the material, it drives the material to rise along the cylinder wall. When the materials reach a certain height, they naturally fall under the action of gravity, causing the materials to flip up and down.

Meanwhile, due to the special structure of the double cone, the materials inside the cylinder will generate bidirectional convection. Some materials flow from one end of the cone to the other, while the other part flows in the opposite direction, promoting the exchange of materials at different positions. During the rotation process, the material particles are subjected to the combined action of gravity, inertial force and frictional force, interpenetrating and diffusing with each other. Small particles fill the gaps between large particles, achieving diffusion and mixing. The shear force generated between the material particles and between the material and the cylinder wall will also break the material clumps, further enhancing the uniformity of the mixture. Through the synergy of these effects, the double-cone mixer can efficiently and evenly mix powdery and granular materials with different properties.
